In LOMBARDIA 2013 – 55.1% of wines were produced according to European DOP Quality standards, which protect a wines place of origin. Lombardia produces 27 DOP wines – *5 DOCG & *22 DOC.
The regions IGP classified wines (Identificazione Geografica Protetta) and which protect geographical identity, account for 30.9%.
